How Molson Coors is celebrating a Hometown Win Decades in the Making

For the first time ever, the Milwaukee Brewers have won it all, and as they were brewing up Milwaukee history, Molson Coors was also brewing right down the street.

Less than two miles from the ballpark is Molson Coors' historic Miller Brewery and campus, a place that has been making beer alongside Brewers baseball throughout the franchise's history and long before. The moment the Brewers won the title, there were thousands of Miller Lites on the line at the brewery, and those beers will now be etched into history as well.

As the official beer of the Milwaukee Brewers, Miller Lite has marked those precise brews as special-edition "Clinch Cans", giving consumers an opportunity to literally taste victory with the very beer that was being made the exact moment the Brewers won it all. There will be 4,400 commemorative cans distributed, an ode to the 44 years that Brewers fans have waited for another chance at climbing the highest peak in baseball.

Clinch Cans

"This is the biggest win in Brewers' history. As the official beer of our hometown team – one named after beer, no less – we knew we couldn’t just sit back and say 'congrats,'" said Courtney Benedict, Vice President of Marketing, Miller Family of Brands. "The only question was how to celebrate a moment this big. As it turns out, the answer was already brewing!"

The "Clinch Cans" will serve as a keepsake for a moment that Brewers fans will never forget, and fans 21+ can reserve a free limited-edition can HERE on a first-come, first-serve basis (limit one per person), while supplies last. Reserved cans will be available for in-person pickup starting Nov. 15 at the Miller Brewery Tour Center.

Celebrating Our Hometown

While brands like Miller Lite can be enjoyed around the world, beer is a local business. That’s why Molson Coors has been steadfast on getting closer to consumers with focused local execution – and when a brand like Miller Lite overlaps with a historic sports moment in the town it was born and bred, it doesn't get more memorable, and local, than that.

And it’s why even before the Brewers made history by winning the series, Molson Coors was doing what it does best: ushering celebrations and making the most of the moment.

Molson Coors offered rebates on Miller Lites across Wisconsin to help fans celebrate, along with free brewery tours for guests ahead of the first game of the series to get fans steeped in Milwaukee history. Plus, it partnered with Lyft to offer discounted rides for safe celebrations and lit up a "Go Brew Crew" sign on the brewery to show support throughout the historic run.

Brewery Wall Go Brewers

"Bringing brands like Miller Lite to life locally starts with our hometown, it starts with Milwaukee," says Benedict. "Miller Time happens everywhere, but it wouldn't be if it weren't for Milwaukee, the city where it all started. Cheers to Milwaukee and the Brewers!"
