Molson Coors expands non-alc footprint nationwide

Molson Coors is building a non-alc portfolio that offers more choice for more moments.
✓ In 2027, the company will scale key brands through the nationwide rollout of Coors 0.0 and expanded distributor availability nationwide for Naked Life.
✓ Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy NA extends a beloved brand into the growing non-alc category.

LAS VEGAS – There are many non-alc options in the beverage space, and the category is only continuing to grow. In fact, the non-alc beer segment alone is expected to reach $2.6 billion by 2030, according to IWSR, up from $1.4 billion in 2025.

At the same time, consumers want choice in the beers and beverages they choose, whether they have alcohol or not. Molson Coors believes that shouldn't be just a handful of beer alternatives that once defined the non-alc category.

That's why, as consumers seek greater variety and the company looks to compete across more occasions, Molson Coors is expanding the breadth of choice it offers to align with consumer expectations in the broader beverage aisle.

At the Molson Coors Distributor Conference, the company laid out what that will look like in 2027, including the nationwide rollout of Coors 0.0, expanded national availability for Naked Life, and a strategic, localized launch of a new non-alc innovation from Leinenkugel's.

Together, these are designed to give consumers more ways to enjoy the brands they love, whether they're choosing beer, non-alc beer or something beyond beer.

Scaling a National Portfolio

Molson Coors isn't new to the non-alc game. With brands including Peroni 0.0, Blue Moon NA and Fever-Tree, the company has been steadily building a strong portfolio designed to meet consumers wherever and whenever they're looking for alc-free options.

Next year, the focus shifts to scaling the right brands.

That starts with Coors. Just last year, Coors 0.0 launched in the Northeast and became the #1 NA Beer innovation by volume sales year to date in the pilot footprint, according to Circana YTD for the week ending 9/6/26, while also seeing positive traction at key retailers. The momentum reinforces the runway of opportunity for the iconic beer brand.

"The opportunity here is massive," said Matt Carpenter, VP, Marketing, Coors Family of Brands. Carpenter pointed to internal data highlighting that more than 80 percent of current non-alc buyers are interested in purchasing Coors 0.0.

That's why, following the strong debut, Coors 0.0 will roll out nationwide in 2027, backed by a full-year plan that includes partnerships, influencers, national media, sampling programs and retail activation designed to drive awareness and trial.

Beyond beer, Molson Coors has its eye on expansion, too, broadening its footprint with Naked Life, the Australian-born non-alc canned cocktail brand known for delivering a true-to-cocktail taste experience. Following encouraging momentum for the brand, Naked Life will broaden its presence in 2027, making the brand nationally available to distributors.

Kevin Nitz, VP of Non-Alc, pointed to several factors driving the brand's appeal. With just five calories, zero sugar and a $9.99 price point, “Naked Life is built for this moment, and for this consumer," he said.

In addition to expanding its non-alc portfolio nationally, Molson Coors is continuing to strengthen its lineup through strategic innovation, bringing beloved brands like Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy into the category.

Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy NA is rolling out now, bringing one of the brand's most iconic flavor profiles into the non-alc space and expanding choice for consumers seeking flavorful alternatives.

Together, with national expansion, brand extensions, and new flavor profiles within the non-alc segment, these innovations reflect Molson Coors' approach to growth in non-alc.

"The distributors who evolve to compete at the highest levels in both alcohol and non-alc won't have gotten lucky," said Kevin Nitz, VP Non-Alc . "They'll have decided – maybe on a day like today – that they aren't just beer distributors anymore. They’re total beverage distributors."

For Molson Coors, that's exactly the future this portfolio is built to support.
